Thankful Thursday
- rain drops dancing on Placid Lake while boys skip rocks
- Bleeding Hearts blossoming beside my Mary and Baby Jesus statue, reminding me to make my heart like theirs
- Michael conquering old fears and bravely swimming across the pool at lessons
- Joseph's musical fingers figuring out how to make real music at the piano
- Dominic taking off training wheels, training mommy to let go
- seeds growing, sprouting and breaking free of the soil in our garden
- the first harvest of rhubarb, turned into Rhubarb Strawberry Coffee Cake
- watching my boys get lost in a book, losing track of time but gaining more than they know
- a cold, crisp Coka Cola on a day full of hot tempers and brothers bickering
- little boys playing freeze tag in the light "liquid sunshine" (a.k.a. rain)
- stealing a nap in the camper in the arms of my spouse, his calming breath on my face
- Paul's steady hand at the wheel, both literally and figuratively for our family
- the sound of mountain breeze through pines, mixed with birds I can't identify, mixed with the laughter of brothers
- wildflowers humbly bowing for their King, as should I, the created honoring the Creator
- hot cocoa in my coffee instead of creamer while camping
- boys being boys, digging for worms, touching toads, climbing trees
- the return of my cycle, renewing the possiblility of life, (I'm choosing to be thankful for this, but feeling quite fearful) :)
