7 Months Old and a Happy Camper

While we were at Placid Lake for our first camping adventure of the summer our baby turned 7 months old. What a happy camper he was! He loved it all...the stroller walks in the fresh mountain air, watching his brothers throw rocks in the once-placid water, taking a hike in daddy's back pack to a roaring waterfall and feeling the cool mist on his face, napping in the Bjorn while mommy finds peace and epiphanies in a good book from a very good friend.

7 months old... It is going so fast and I'm enjoying every minute of it (well, almost every minute...I still struggle finding joy in the middle of the night feedings, but I'm learning to accept them as gifts to help me grow in holiness). Nathanael cut two more teeth this past month, which perhaps is part of his sleeping problems. He now has 4 total, with two more right below the surface ready to pop through at any moment. He can now sit up almost completely unaided and loves to roll all over the place to reach his favorite toys. He has learned a new noise to make which resembles a roaring lion cub...very cute. His favorite things right now which make his face light up with a smile are: Baby Einstein videos, our cat Arwen, tickles from daddy, and his silly brothers.

Doesn't he look like a happy camper? And speaking of camping, we're gearing up to leave for another camping adventure this weekend! I LOVE SUMMER!!!
